Q: How many staff members are CPR and first aid certified?
A: All of our teachers and teacher assistants are CPR & First Aid certified.
Q: Do you accept DHS/CCR&R payments?
A: Yes, we accept DHS/CCR&R payments. However, you are responsible for the difference between the state payment and our rate.
Q: Which holidays are you closed?
A: We are closed on New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and the day after, and Christmas Day. Please note that if any of these holidays fall on a Saturday, we will be closed on the preceding Friday, and if they fall on a Sunday, we will be closed on the following Monday. We also close early on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.
Q: What is your children-to-teacher ratio?
A: Our children-to-teacher ratio is as follows: 4:1 for infants, 5:1 for toddlers, 8:1 for 2-year-olds, 10:1 for 3-year-olds and Preschool classrooms, and 20:1 for Advanced Preschool and School-aged children.
Q: Do you provide meals and snacks?
A: Yes, we provide nutritious, home-cooked meals and snacks for children. Our monthly menus are posted in each classroom and on our website.
Q: What ages of children do you accept?
A: We provide a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children aged 6 weeks to 12 years.
Q: What are your hours of operation?
A: We are open Monday through Friday from 6:15 am to 6:00 pm. We offer full-day care for infants through advanced preschoolers, as well as before-and-after-school care for children enrolled in Kindergarten through 12 years of age.
Q: Can my child bring his/her favorite blanket or toy to school?
A: Yes, your child can bring his/her favorite blanket to school. However, we recommend leaving favorite toys at home to prevent loss or damage. We offer special events where children can share items with their classmates.
Q: Is there a special place for my child's belongings?
A: Yes, each child has their own cubby located in their classroom for their personal items.
Q: What is the attendance policy when my child is ill?
A: To maintain a healthy environment, we ask that children do not attend school until they have been fever-free for 24 hours.
Q: What are some of the facility safety features?
A: Our facility is equipped with front security doors, video monitoring, playground fencing, monthly fire drills, and routine tornado procedures to ensure the safety of children in our care.
Q: What is your procedure in the event of severe weather?
A: We have procedures in place for severe weather conditions, including tornadoes. We take all necessary precautions to ensure the safety of children in our care.
Q: Will my child be supervised at all times?
A: Yes, a member of our staff will supervise your child at all times, even during quiet or nap time.
Q: How often is the center inspected?
A: We adhere to the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services statutes and undergo annual inspections. We also conduct routine inspections of equipment and supplies used by children.
Q: What types of payments do you accept?
A: We accept cash, checks, money orders, and all major credit cards for payments.
Q: What are your tuition rates?
A: Tuition rates vary based on the age of your child. You can find the rates posted on our website. We encourage you to visit us or call to schedule a tour and discuss tuition details.
Q: Do you provide part-time care?
